Recently Google Chrome released notification for Chrome. These are pushed notification just like Android or iOS. You can see the notification on your desktop without opening that site.

How to Turn Notifications on and off in Google Chrome

Turn off notification in Windows and Mac
Chrome's notification setting

  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Click on three dots (more button on omnibar) and open settings.
  • Scroll down and click "Show advanced settings."
  • Find and click on Privacy option.
  • Open Content Setting.
  • Now under "Notifications" define settings according to your need
Ask when a site wants to show notifications: You’ll get an alert from Chrome whenever a site wants to show you notifications. This is the default setting.
This "Notification" setting contains the list of extensions, apps, websites and blogs you have allowed to send push notifications and you can quickly turn on and off from there.
Sometimes a few site can be annoying, especially blogs that provide offers, coupons like grabons, etc. They start sending you uncountable notifications, and you can block these from Notification Setting.
